The Hairy Lobster was a unique Pearl District restaurant in Portland, Oregon (circa 2016–2020) opened by chefs David and Mellisa Root, known for its heritage American cuisine and eclectic, antique-chic vibe. I took on this self-initiated branding exercise to explore defining that vibe further than the original brand had gone. With it's whimsical name and approach to food, I wanted to explore a bolder, quirkier approach, something right at home in the Portland dining scene.
